Last-Mile Natural Gas Infrastructure & Pipeline Laterals

Last-mile and lateral natural gas pipeline infrastructure, including structures in which Marabou can own and operate the completed system.

What This Covers

Marabou develops last-mile and lateral pipeline infrastructure that connects natural gas supply to end-user demand, and can develop first-mile infrastructure for producers. Projects can be delivered under a design-build-own-operate (DBOO) structure, in which Marabou can own and operate the completed system and recover its investment over time. Design and construction are delivered using qualified engineering and construction resources.

The Last Mile

What is Last-Mile Infrastructure?

Natural gas moves between producing regions and markets on large transmission systems — but those systems rarely end at the facility that actually needs the gas. Last-mile infrastructure closes that gap: a dedicated pipeline or lateral connecting available supply on an existing system to a specific end-user facility or demand point.

First-mile infrastructure plays the mirrored role on the producer side of the business, connecting new production to the systems that carry it to market. Both sit at the ends of the value chain, where a project either gets its dedicated connection or does not go forward.

Common Situations

Projects that raise the question.

Marabou supports projects where energy infrastructure is missing, constrained, or needs to be expanded. That may include a new facility without a dedicated gas connection, an existing pipeline or utility system that cannot meet growing demand, a new generation or industrial load requiring a lateral, a producer needing first-mile infrastructure, or a project seeking an experienced developer that can build, own, and operate the completed system.

How Marabou Engages

More than a service vendor.

Marabou goes beyond traditional fee-for-service work by developing projects under a design-build-own-operate structure. Where appropriate, Marabou can invest in, own, and operate the completed infrastructure, creating long-term alignment and continuity from development through operations. Marabou can also manage, operate, and maintain pipeline assets owned by its customers.
